A Message from the RSA Presidents

On behalf of the Reed School Association (RSA), welcome and welcome back to Reed! Our names are Stacey Hoffman and Barrie Silverman, and we are your RSA Co-Presidents. We've been friends for many years and are so happy and proud to be part of the Reed community together. We each have 2 kids at Reed, Sammy Hoffman and Blake Silverman, are entering 4th grade and, Sydney Hoffman and Beau Silverman, are entering 1st grade. If you are new to Reed, you are about to become part of a community full of panther pride, warmth, and inclusion. Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us or any member of the RSA Executive Board. We are all here to help.

What is RSA?

We are a parent-run organization that supports your child(ren) by funding educational enrichment and curriculum support, putting on community building events and working to ensure an inclusive school community for all families. Every Reed parent is a member of the RSA!

How do I support the RSA?

Each year RSA’s budget invests about $200 per child. Your donation of any amount is greatly appreciated. We ask that donations be given by September 15th. Please make your annual donation here (via Membership Toolkit) or bring a check made out to Reed School Association to the front office. Keep in mind, many companies offer an employee match which is a great way to double your gift, and all donations are tax deductible

Who runs the RSA and how can I get involved?

The RSA is led by parent volunteers who hold executive board positions, volunteer for subcommittee roles, sign up to be room parents, and/or volunteer for individual events as they come up throughout the year!

How can I stay up to date with RSA activity?

  • Create an account on the RSA’s websitereedschoolassociation.membershiptoolkit.com (also known as Membership Toolkit – it’s the main way we communicate with our Reed families)
  • Download the Membership Toolkit app to keep all things RSA at your fingertips (remember to check/update your ‘Family Information’ on the site)
  • Read the weekly e-newsletter, which includes information about upcoming school events/volunteer opportunities. You should receive this in email if you have an account set up on Membership toolkit. Contact Jessica Pienkos, VP Communications, if you are not receiving Thursday Newsletters and would like to.
  • Follow @reedschoolassociation on Instagram
  • Attend RSA meetings, open to all Reed parents, the first of which will be held at Reed on Tuesday, August 27th at 6pm
  • Sign-up to learn more about RSA volunteer opportunities: RSA Interest Form

Other ways to show your Reed pride:

  • Order a yearbook! Order yours on Membership Toolkit.
  • Buy Reed spirit wear! There are two official ways to purchase and support the RSA: on-campus at Reed-sponsored events OR through Membership Toolkit
  • Ask questions and get involved! There are many opportunities to be an RSA volunteer and we welcome your thoughts and questions at reedpresident@gmail.com

Thank you for supporting the RSA! We are going to have a great year and are so excited to have you and your family at Reed.
